Wood Barrels & Tanks

Inspired by Nature

Founded by Henri Baron in 1875, Tonnellerie Baron is located near the town of Saintes in the Charente-Maritime department, in the heart of the renowned Cognac vineyards. This artisanal workshop serves some of the world’s most prestigious vineyard estates.

The experts at Tonnellerie Baron select the finest oaks from the French forests and offer a range of products made from hand-split oak. Every step of the production process, from splitting the staves to the final finishing of the barrels, is carried out within the workshop. The unique terroir of the Charente, with its ideal combination of sunshine and humidity, is particularly favorable for oak aging in the seasoning yards. This environment is essential for crafting barrels and foudres in a variety of sizes and shapes.

To support the sustainable management of forest resources, Tonnellerie Baron adheres to the strict guidelines set by the international PEFC program. This certification assures customers of the wood’s origin and reflects the commitment to environmental transparency and preservation.

Through this approach, Tonnellerie Baron ensures continuous monitoring of certified raw materials from the forest to the customer.
